Passion Flower - One of Abba Father's Herbal Treasures

It was such a blessing when I found the Passion Flower Vine pictured above on my very first wildcrafting foray into herbal medicine.

Having felt led in my spirit to study herbalism, finding Passion Flower and subsequently learning that it was considered a wonderful treatment for almost everything that ails me was all the confirmation I needed to press on and learn more about Abba Father's herbal gifts!

I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia 15+ years ago.  After working with the medical status quo for many years, I finally realized there was really nothing they could do to help me. Thus began my search into the herbal/natural world for some relief, and Passion Flower Tincture is such a blessing as it actually helps relieve my pain.

Passion Flower also helps with my anxiety and insomnia. As an anxious person, I don't like that feeling of being "pulled under" when I go to sleep. It almost always causes me to have a panic attack and not a very peaceful sleep. Passion Flower is very gentle. It simply lulls me to sleep without me even realizing it.

And when I went for an MRI on my hand and learned my WHOLE BODY had to go into that death trap... er... MRI Machine just to see my hand, a few droppers full of Passion Flower Tincture under my tongue was the only thing that got me through it.

Passion Flower is actually one of only a few herbs that have had scientific studies performed to judge its effectiveness (simply because scientific studies are so expensive and no one wants to pay for a study on an herb that most people can harvest for free). As you can see from this article outlining some of those studies, Passion Flower was found to be at least as effective as a few well-known prescription drugs without the dreaded side effects.

It's interesting that Passion Flower was found in studies to help with symptoms of opiate withdrawal. Though I was never addicted to opiates, I did at one time innocently allow myself to be placed on a daily dose of Gabapentin, and wow... what a mistake! Passion Flower was the only thing that got me through weaning off of that nasty stuff.

Needless to say, there is always a dropper bottle with Passion Flower Tincture in my purse and a couple more scattered about my home. It is one of those herbal medicines I never want to do without.
